Broussard

Broussard

Named after a direct descendant of one of the very first two hundred Acadians to land in Louisiana aboard the Santo Domingo in 1765, the city of Broussard offers rich history and elegant Creole and Cajun dining.  Accordingly Broussard is home to many properties of historical significance that are listed on the National Historic Register. The Alesia House, Andre' Billeaud House, Martial Billeaud, Jr. House, and the Main Street Historic District are only a small representation of attractions gracing this historic city and making Broussard a destination for all history enthusiasts.

Schools and Health

Both public and private schools are available (see link below for more detailed information) to children in Broussard, as well as post-secondary education at nearby University of Louisiana, Lafayette.

Most medical services are provided in nearby Lafayette Parish.
